Value and enhance your environmental

and social impacts

We help businesses, investors and governments to better understand, value and manage their impacts and dependencies on nature and people.

How will your organisation navigate the coming 10 year transition?

Society faces three inextricably linked crises around climate, nature and inequality that require a transformation of the global economic system within this decisive decade.

Successful transformation will likely require the adoption of a ‘regenerative’ and ‘multi-capitals’ approach, embracing the concepts of ‘stakeholder capitalism’ and ‘double materiality’. This shift will involve:

  1. Enterprises setting net zero, nature positive and social equity targets - ideally striving to become ‘net positive’ for nature, carbon, biodiversity, water, waste and social equality etc.

  2. Governments, businesses and financial institutions accounting for the full value of natural, social, human and produced capitals and impacts across all stakeholders.

  3. The adoption of ‘systems’ thinking’ for improved decision-making.

  4. More effective management of physical, transition and systemic risks: Droughts, floods, resource depletion etc. as well as strengthened regulations and standards, radical reforms for incentive mechanisms and changing mindsets.

  5. Enhanced transparency on the sustainability information of products, companies and portfolios, such as through the Taskforce for Nature Related Financial Disclosures and EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.

  6. Investors going beyond ESG towards a ‘risk-return-impact’ model or similar.

Businesses and investors who anticipate and respond effectively to these transitions stand to gain significantly.

Those that don’t will be left behind.
