Human rights & social development

Sulema is a social development and human rights specialist based, and a former environmental lawyer. For the past 18 years she has supported organizations to improve their social performance through assessing social and human rights risks/impacts, and increasingly by considering social and human capital impacts and dependencies across their entire value chain. Sulema has worked for various sectors (e.g. agri-business, extractives, financial, forests etc.) particularly in Latin America but also more widely. She also served as a member of the GRI Global Sustainability Standards Board.
